It takes an ocean full of fish to raise an atmosphere. 

"Forest" of the Ocean - fish poop (fecal plumes) are the marine "oxygen garden." Since the 1950s, 90% of the oceans schools of fish have been killed due to overfishing. This means no fish poop- an estimated 10 million tons per day- which then lead to a massive plankton die off 35 years ago.  No fish poop means:

1) No O2 production (70% of atmosphereic oxygen) spreading sea water anoxia.

2) No CO2 uptake - Acidification of the ocean leads to no CO2 uptake- 70% of rains out into the ocean.

3) No more Plankton Shadow Effect-  the heating of the ocean and air

Massive plankton die off in 1985 = GLOBAL WARMING

The plankton shadow effect is a natural phenomenon where plankton in the ocean serves as nature's air conditioning. Plankton self-shading, Mother Ocean's solar-powered cooling that used to keep the sea surface (top ten feet) cool thus cooling air temperature.  Overfishing beginning in 1985 lead to the plankton die off over 1000s of square miles of the ocean. Now, the top ten feet of the ocean surface is heating rapidly.
